Gulf Coast Medical Center is a 161-bed acute-care hospital, serving a population of approximately 200,000 residents between Houston and Victoria, Texas. The hospital is located in Wharton, Texas, approximately 55 miles southwest of downtown Houston and just 30 miles from Sugar Land, Texas (recently named by Money Magazine as one of the top U.S. cities in which to live).
